If you think gold is gaudy, a platinum figurine is also available, also for 80 grand. We checked out some Monster Hunter figurines last year, shortly after Monster Hunter: World made its way to PC, and some of them were pretty sweet. But none of them are anywhere as sweet—or maybe "grotesquely ostentatious" is the term I'm really looking for—as the 24k Gold Rathian statuette, and the Silver Rathalos constructed of platinum, offered by Japanese collectible manufacturer U-Treasure. Hypebeast shared photos of the statues on Instgram, while Google-translated details are available on the U-Treasure site. The Gold Rathian measures approximately 15.5 by 11 cm, stands roughly 7.5 cm in height, and weighs about 600g, while the Silver Rathalos is 15x15x7.5 cm and weighs a

After Saying ‘Time to Bring ‘Em Home,’ In Less Than 24 Hours Trump Orders 1,800 US Troops to Saudi Arabia

Breaking News, Business
"Remember when Donald Trump tweeted that he was 'trying to end the endless wars?' That was yesterday." Less than a day after President Donald Trump bragged to supporters at a campaign-style rally in Minnesota Thursday that he was working hard to bring U.S. soldiers home from foreign wars, the Pentagon announced Friday that 1,800 troops and advanced weapons systems have been ordered to Saudi Arabia—a move critics decried as both hypocritical and deeply dangerous. "Remember when Donald Trump tweeted that he was 'trying to end the endless wars?' That was yesterday."—Sen. Bernie Sanders "This is a dangerous escalation of a crisis created by the president's inability to conduct a coherent and sensible foreign policy and his reliance on the war hawks who profit from endless war,"

C oil treatment I know many may tell you is a lie, I know there are many medical articles related to it. But let’s be realistic. I’m not saying this child wasn’t healed. I’m just saying that if this worked 100% for sure there were thousands of healed people. I do not believe in ignorance, and I do not try to make every news a controversial one. I want to think mature. When you are very ill you try everything, absolutely anything. If thousands of people were healed this would explode in the press. Don’t you think so? Kalel Santiago, from Puerto Rico, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called neuroblastoma at 10 months of age. After several hard treatments, he was eventually diagnosed with severe autism that prevented him from speaking. According to his father, while i

Otherwise, it's not a particularly demanding game. (Image credit: Activision) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is one of the biggest games of the year, in two senses: one, it'll likely sell a bajillion copies, and secondly, it requires 175GB of hard drive space. Ouch. By comparison, Red Dead Redemption 2 will require a mere 150GB. That's according to the system requirements available on battle.net, which reveal that aside from hard drive space, the next Call of Duty instalment won't break the bank hardware wise. The minimum specs are a tad higher compared to Black Ops 4 (for example, you'll preferably have a GTX 670 instead of a 660), but the recommendation specs are pretty much the same. The Modern Warfare minimum and recommended specs are below, for your convenience: Mini...

Let it carry your burdens to dreamland. (Image credit: o0PETER0o) Redditor u/o0PETER0o decided to give a friend the gift that keeps on giving, by which I mean a videogame-themed pillow. Unfortunately most videogame-themed pillows are kind of gross, but that's no reason to give up. Armed with a screenshot from the game's overlong introductory sequence and a link to a website that makes personalized pillows—and socks, towels, and so on—by printing customer-submitted images on them, u/o0PETER0o created the memetastic present you see above. The website in question was bagsoflove.co.uk, by the way, which is not a name that suggests wholesome gifts like this one but whatever. After u/o0PETER0o posted a photo of the pillow to the Elder Scrolls subreddit yesterday it was then ripped

Valve released the bug-and-security fix update yesterday. (Image credit : Valve) Valve may or may not be working on Half-Life 3. (This guy might know, but he's no squealer.) What it is working on, it turns out, is Half-Life. Yesterday—20 years, 10 months, and 19 days after Half-Life was released—Valve released a new update for the game that fixes a surprising number of, admittedly, very minor problems. Here's the full list of changes: Fixed setting monitor refresh rates through -freq when used with -nofbo Fixed unnecessary texture rescaling with NPOT textures Fixed slist command, will now show servers on the local network Fixed erroneous return in SV_ClipToLinks (HL #1685) Fixed inability to reload a partially empty weapon after reloading a save game Fixed MP5 spread factor,

Blizzard employees staged a walkout over Hearthstone Grandmaster’s suspension

Breaking News, News
A small number of employees gathered around the famed Orc statue to express solidarity with Blitzchung and Hong Kong. (Image credit: Standingwhk (Reddit)) Blizzard's harsh punishment of former Hearthstone Grandmaster Chung 'blitzchung' Ng Wai over his call for the liberation of Hong Kong caused a powerful backlash against the company. According to a Daily Beast report, some of that reaction has come from within the company itself, as a small number of employees walked out of work yesterday afternoon to protest its actions. One employee who took part in the walkout said participation fluctuated between a dozen and 30 people over the course of the day, which represents a tiny fragment of the company's total workforce. But the employees gathered at Blizzard's famed Orc statue, a...

It's finally time to get at the goodies inside. (Image credit: Respawn) When the new World's Edge map went live in Apex Legends, it brought with it a new feature in the form of mysterious locked vaults. A countdown timer suggested that they would become unlockable at 1 pm ET today, although according to Polygon the light went green a little ahead of schedule. Either way, it's now possible to get inside, although it'll take a little effort and a little luck to open them up. A key card is required to unlock the vaults, which drop randomly from the drones that buzz around the map, so you might need to pop a few before you find one. Once you've got a key card in your possession, the three vaults, at Lava City, Geyser, and Train Yard, will appear on your map. Go there, open the do...

Epic Games says it won’t punish Fortnite players for political speech

CEO Tim Sweeney said it 'will never happen on my watch.' (Image Credit: Epic Games) Blizzard is currently wrangling a PR nightmare over Hearthstone Grandmaster Chung "Blitzchung" Ng Wai's call for Hong Kong's liberation from China in a recent post-match interview. Perhaps sensing an opening, Epic Games has now waded into the fray, telling The Verge that Fortnite players are free to speak their minds without fear of punishment. "Epic supports everyone’s right to express their views on politics and human rights," a rep told the site. "We wouldn’t ban or punish a Fortnite player or content creator for speaking on these topics." Epic founder and CEO Tim Sweeney repeated the statement on Twitter, and also responded to predictable questions about the influence of Chinese tech gian
