Amara gets buffs, too. (Image credit: Gearbox Software) Gearbox has finally stopped nerfing Borderlands 3's robot vault hunter FL4K. After two nerfs in as many weeks, the developer has decided it went too far, and is partially rolling back a recent change to FL4K's Leave No Trace skill, which has a chance to return ammo to the player's magazine when they land a critical hit. In a Borderlands 3 update last week, Gearbox added a two-second cooldown to the skill because it was "returning much more ammo than intended". Now, it has reduced the cooldown to 0.3 seconds, which might be a good middle ground. The new cooldown should "retain the promise of the ability" without making it super-powered again, it said in patch notes this week. Gearbox also nerfed Moze's Bloodletter clas
Players with overly low behavior scores will find that their pieholes have been shut. (Image Credit: Valve) It appears that there were some issues with the Dota 2 matchmaking rating changes that were rolled out in September. Valve said in its latest Dota 2 blog post that "some players, especially at the high end, have experienced a significant drop in matchmaking quality as a result of our recent iterations," and so it's made further changes to the system in the most recent game update. The new update adds a rule for matchmaking for Immortal ranks intended to reduce some common "negative behaviors" and make solo queuing more viable, and also adds new restrictions on what solo and party matchups are allowed. Numerous bugs in the matchmaking system have been fixed, and there will
Where to find the Durr Burger head, dinosaur, and stone head statue as part of the Fortnite Season X Road Trip missions. (Image credit: Epic Games) Fortnite Season 10 (or Season X, if you prefer) has completely restructured how challenges work. Now they're called missions and they're bundled up differently. As part of the Road Trip missions, you'll need to visit the Drift-sprayed Durr Burger head, dinosaur, and stone head statue. Luckily they've been around for a while, so they're pretty easy to find. We've located them and marked them on the map for easy battle stars. Check out the map below for where to find the Durr Burger head, dinosaur, and stone head statue. (Image credit: Epic Games)

Valve released the bug-and-security fix update yesterday. (Image credit : Valve) Valve may or may not be working on Half-Life 3. (This guy might know, but he's no squealer.) What it is working on, it turns out, is Half-Life. Yesterday—20 years, 10 months, and 19 days after Half-Life was released—Valve released a new update for the game that fixes a surprising number of, admittedly, very minor problems. Here's the full list of changes: Fixed setting monitor refresh rates through -freq when used with -nofbo Fixed unnecessary texture rescaling with NPOT textures Fixed slist command, will now show servers on the local network Fixed erroneous return in SV_ClipToLinks (HL #1685) Fixed inability to reload a partially empty weapon after reloading a save game Fixed MP5 spread factor,
It's finally time to get at the goodies inside. (Image credit: Respawn) When the new World's Edge map went live in Apex Legends, it brought with it a new feature in the form of mysterious locked vaults. A countdown timer suggested that they would become unlockable at 1 pm ET today, although according to Polygon the light went green a little ahead of schedule. Either way, it's now possible to get inside, although it'll take a little effort and a little luck to open them up. A key card is required to unlock the vaults, which drop randomly from the drones that buzz around the map, so you might need to pop a few before you find one. Once you've got a key card in your possession, the three vaults, at Lava City, Geyser, and Train Yard, will appear on your map. Go there, open the do...
CEO Tim Sweeney said it 'will never happen on my watch.' (Image Credit: Epic Games) Blizzard is currently wrangling a PR nightmare over Hearthstone Grandmaster Chung "Blitzchung" Ng Wai's call for Hong Kong's liberation from China in a recent post-match interview. Perhaps sensing an opening, Epic Games has now waded into the fray, telling The Verge that Fortnite players are free to speak their minds without fear of punishment. "Epic supports everyone’s right to express their views on politics and human rights," a rep told the site. "We wouldn’t ban or punish a Fortnite player or content creator for speaking on these topics." Epic founder and CEO Tim Sweeney repeated the statement on Twitter, and also responded to predictable questions about the influence of Chinese tech gian
Sony has announced that PlayStation 5 will be released during holiday 2020. Revealed in a PlayStation blog post, the console is (as you might have expected) officially called PlayStation 5. The blog also reveals that the console's controller will feature two key new innovations - haptic feedback (replacing the traditional rumble) and adaptive triggers. It will also feature USB C charging, a higher-capacity battery and is a little heavier than its predecessor (but still lighter than an Xbox One controller with batteries inside). Wired got more detail from system architect Mark Cerny. Haptic feedback will come through "highly programmable voice-coil actuators located in the left and right grips of the controller", which offer more tactile responses than the DualShock 4's rumble mo...
